Born in 1996 the year Donovan Bailey won the 100m Olympic final and Linford Christie was disqualified the sprinter is now just 26 years old. His incredible speed was first recognised whilst he was playing rugby at the University of Nairobi and he has gone on to post lightning times of 9.77 sec for the 100m. He is also the current African record holder and 2 times African champion. Whilst at University Ferdinand studied chemistry and there is certainly an explosive reaction when he places his adidas running shoes in the starting blocks.
